Is The Market Inconsistent or Misunderstood?

Historically, the Summer is an excellent time to sell your home as the gardens are in full bloom and looking their best but is that the case this year?  Some property experts are suggesting large price rises over the next 4 years, interest rates remain low but some properties are taking months or years to sell whilst some are selling in weeks, so what is the market doing?

It is evident that demand is and has been consistent this year and the reason many homes are not selling are the asking prices and the lack of attention to detail in the marketing.  With May having passed and the plethero of Bank Holidays, activity has returned to positive levels with many homes selling.

We believe that the market will remain consistent for the rest of the year with a rise in interest rates not being enough to effect the overall situation.  The key to selling your home this year will be the pricing and marketing as competition remains strong.  It is essential to make your home stand out from the crowd from a presentation and asking price point of view, bear in mind your purchaser could be from any part of the world.

Reports concerning property prices are normally a generalisation rather than an informed evaluation of what is happening in our area, that maybe the inconsistent information that causes uncertainty for potential sellers.  If you are considering buying or selling this year, the next 3 months are a key period and we would relish the opportunity of assisting you.
