What does the property market in August hold for sellers?

Traditionally, August has proved a quieter month for house sales due to school and summer holidays, but with the economy in a transitional state, it could be that this isn't a typical year.  It is evident that the abolition of HIP's has seen a huge increase in properties for sale whilst buyer numbers have remained at a steady level.  This has led to the house price drops that have been recently reported in the national press but doesn't give a reflection of the higher, more prestigious end of the market.

Premier Homes of Distinction agreed record sales in July including properties such as Badgers Wood - asking price £1.3 million(pictured above) proving that demand remains strong for bespoke homes in quality locations that are priced realistically.  These buyers are from all over the world, whether it be to purchase a piece of English heritage, take advantage of the currency exchange or find the perfect family home it is essential your property is getting pro-active exposure in order to achieve a successful sale.

This year, August will prove an excellent time to sell your home, as the lack of quality homes for sale continues and with predicted good weather, the preparation of your all important sales particulars will include your gardens looking their finest.  Pricing is as important as presentation with the first impact or your home being the best impact, whether that be the initial marketing or the time a buyer visualises there potential purchase.

Properties currently for sale include a splendid neo-georgian detached residence that includes an 8 seat cinema, indoor swimming pool complex and accommodation approaching 5500 square feet.  The property is a stones throw from the Straight Mile of Ascot Racecourse(pictured below).

If you are looking for a piece of history, this grade II listed cottage dates back to the 15th century and is located in the picturesque Thameside village of Wargrave.  It boasts secure off road parking and splendid rear gardens extending to 250 feet in length.

Our bespoke marketing plans include professional internal and aerial photography, full colour brochures in both print and e-brochure format, full page local press advertising including Berkshire Life.
